Wike Establishes Radio Station in Port Harcourt for Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has launched a new radio station, Majority FM 89.5, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as political mobilisation gathers pace ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The station operates from the office of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Its establishment signals an expansion of campaign communication efforts in the South-South region.
A video shared online shows Wike touring the studio, inspecting equipment, and speaking with staff during the unveiling of the facility.
Speaking at the event, Wike said the station would serve as a channel for messages across Rivers State.
“This will take messages from all over the 666 units of Rivers State. We are ready for this job. We are ready for 2027,” he said.
Observers say the move underscores Wike’s continued role in shaping the state’s political direction as preparations for the next general election take shape.
