Whether I Voted Or Not Is Irrelevant – Dino Melaye
Dino Melaye, the gubernatorial candidate for the PDP, has dismissed the significance of his participation in the recently held Kogi State election. Despite allegations of being sidelined by INEC, Melaye asserts that his exclusion from the voting process does not impact the election’s validity. He accused the electoral body of favoring the ruling APC and adamantly maintains that he was unfairly treated during the election.
The Kogi election resulted in the APC’s Usman Ododo clinching victory in the North-Central state, with the PDP securing a third-place position. Melaye’s stance on the matter was aired on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he emphasized that the act of voting holds no legal weight in determining the election’s outcome. Refusing to elaborate further, Melaye declared there was no legitimate election in Kogi State on the day in question.
