“We’re Ready for Dialogue,” Wike Tells Protesters
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has extended an invitation to protesters against President Bola Tinubu’s administration to engage in dialogue with the government. Wike emphasized that the administration is prepared to listen and address any concerns they may have, while also clarifying governance issues they might not fully understand.
In his address on Thursday, during the presentation of staff of office to four newly appointed chiefs, Wike praised the demonstrators for their nonviolent conduct. He encouraged them to resist any attempts to undermine the nation’s stability, highlighting the importance of Abuja as the nation’s capital. Wike warned that any destruction in the FCT would have far-reaching negative effects on the entire country.
