President Bola Tinubu has announced that his administration has successfully reduced the nation’s debt servicing burden from 97% to 65%. This announcement was made during a ceremony on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Tinubu swore in seven new ministers to his cabinet.

 

While welcoming the new ministers, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of their roles during these challenging times. He acknowledged the likely criticisms and abuses they may face from the public but urged them to remain focused on improving the lives of over 200 million Nigerians.

 

The newly appointed ministers include:

 

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment

Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment

Idi Mukhtar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development

Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development

Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education
