Video: The moment Tinubu fell at Democracy Day parade
At the 2024 Democracy Day celebration, President Bola Tinubu tripped and fell while boarding the presidential parade vehicle. The incident occurred shortly after his arrival at Eagles Square in Abuja.
President Tinubu was quickly assisted by his security detail and managed to regain his composure almost immediately. Segun Dada, Special Assistant on Social Media to the President, confirmed the incident. “Mr. President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues,” Dada stated.
Despite the minor stumble, President Tinubu proceeded with the scheduled events without further incident.
