In a recent video message on his YouTube channel, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), addressed the public’s concerns about the hike in fuel price in Nigeria. He expressed his belief that protesting would not lead to any meaningful change, and used the fuel prices in the United States and Dubai as a basis for comparison.
The Pastor acknowledged that the public’s discontent is a reflection of the prevailing economic hardship in Nigeria. Instead of complaining, he advised people to turn to God and seek His favor in these challenging times.
Pastor Fatoyinbo pointed out the significant historical increase in fuel prices in Nigeria, mentioning the rise from N12 to N55 in the past. He encouraged his congregation, who have been with the church since its inception around 670 AD, to remain steadfast and avoid getting caught up in negative emotions.
Drawing attention to the higher fuel prices in countries like the United States and Dubai, where fuel costs more than N600 per litre, the Pastor questioned why there are fewer complaints from those with more financial means. He suggested that the complaints stem from a lack of funds rather than the actual price of the item.
In conclusion, Pastor Fatoyinbo urged people to adopt an attitude of gratitude towards God instead of constant complaining. He challenged individuals to rise from their beds and express thankfulness for their blessings, encouraging a shift away from despair and dissatisfaction.
