Video: DSS, Military Contacted Kidnappers to Secure Release of Abducted Churchgoers, Bandits Complied – Tinubu’s Aide Onanuga
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has provided details on the release of 38 churchgoers abducted last Tuesday in Eruku, Kwara State. In an interview with Arise TV on November 24, Onanuga confirmed that both the military and the Department of State Security (DSS) played key roles in securing the victims’ freedom, which occurred on Sunday, November 23.
According to Onanuga, security operatives established contact with the kidnappers and insisted on the immediate release of the captives. He explained that the bandits complied, understanding the serious consequences of defying government directives. Onanuga also noted that security agencies have advanced systems to track criminal activities, enabling them to monitor situations in real time and take swift action when necessary.
