VAR machine reportedly stolen at MKO Abiola stadium
The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) machine provided by FIFA during the play-off between Ghana and Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja has been reported missing.
Reports have it that rioting Nigerian fans stole the machine under bizarre circumstances after their country failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later in the year.
The renovated Moshood Abiola National Stadium was vandalized by irate fans.
There were ugly scenes of the actions of the fans in several videos that went viral.
There are also reports that FIFA and CAF are set to announce a series of sanctions on the Nigeria FA after the actions of the Nigerian fans.
