US Airstrikes: “North Not Safe for Nnamdi Kanu, He Must Be Relocated” — Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has called for his client’s transfer from northern Nigeria due to growing security risks.

Ejimakor made the appeal on Friday via his X account, responding to reports of a United States military airstrike on terrorist positions in Sokoto State. He said the strike underscores the persistent terrorist activity in the area, making it an unsafe location for Kanu’s detention.

“The US military strike against terrorists in Sokoto has confirmed that the area is riddled with terrorist activity and was never a secure place for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” Ejimakor stated. He urged authorities to relocate Kanu to a facility outside what he described as the “terrorist belt” in northern Nigeria, emphasizing that the move is now urgent given the current security situation.
