Umahi turns around, apologises to NBA
The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has reversed the alleged uncomplimentary statement made against a judge of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Justice Inyang Ekwo.
He consequently tendered an apology to the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA).
You would recall that the President of the NBA, Olumide Akpata had chided the Governor for his disregard of the court order and uncomplimentary comments made against Justice Ekwo.
Akpata requested that Umahi should tender an apology to the NBA and Justice Ekwo.
Umahi made the turn around while addressing some members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State at a solidarity rally that took place at the Udensi roundabout, staged to declare their support and loyalty to the governor.
He however, tendered his apology but said that he has mobilized over seventeen (17) SANs to Appeal the judgement of the Federal High court sitting in Abuja.
