Two Found Dead in Kogi Apartment, Police Launch Investigation
The Kogi State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the deaths of a man and a woman discovered in an apartment in the Ankpa Local Government Area. The deceased individuals have been identified as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both from Ankpa. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, and it is not yet known whether the two were a couple.
According to the police, the bodies were found naked in the room where they were discovered, leading authorities to describe the incident as sudden and unnatural. The police were alerted at around 12 p.m. on Saturday by Salisu Ibrahim, a resident of Alo in Ankpa, who reported that his tenant, Sheriff Salifu, had failed to emerge from his room by 9:31 a.m., which was unusual.
Concerned, Salifu’s brother attempted to check on him and gained access to the room through the ceiling. He found both Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama lifeless in the room. Investigations are ongoing as police work to determine the cause of death.
