Two Brothers Die in Motorcycle Accident During Christmas Celebrations
Two brothers, Michael Gwatana and James Gwatana, tragically lost their lives in a motorcycle accident on Christmas Day at Kwanan Mada village, near Yaba in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred at around 11:34 a.m. when the brothers were traveling on a motorcycle from Kuka village to Yaba. Michael was riding the motorcycle with his younger brother as a passenger when they collided with another motorcyclist at Kwanan Mada.
The younger brother reportedly died on the spot from a severe head injury, while Michael and the other motorcyclist were rushed to a hospital in Kwali. Sadly, Michael succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, while the other rider is said to be receiving treatment.
The eyewitness recounted that the brothers had just returned from church and finished eating before setting out on the ill-fated journey. Their remains have been deposited at the Kwali General Hospital morgue.
An official from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the incident was not reported to them, noting that the accident occurred on a road not classified as a highway, which could explain the lack of official information.
