Turji Bello Enlists Prayer Warriors to Evade Military Capture
Notorious bandit leader Bello Turji has enlisted the help of prayer warriors from Niger Republic and Maiduguri, Borno State, in a bid to avoid capture by Nigerian troops under Operation Fansan Yanma.
Turji, known for orchestrating violent attacks, has long relied on spiritual leaders for guidance and protection. These clerics reportedly play a crucial role in his operations, offering prayers and determining the timing of his attacks.
Counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama, who specializes in Lake Chad Basin security, stated that Turji routinely consults these prayer warriors before launching assaults. According to Makama, they advise him on strategic moves and ways to evade military offensives.
