Tragic Murder Rocks FUTMinna: Police Launch Investigation

The Niger State Police Command has initiated a thorough investigation into the heart-wrenching murder of a prominent lecturer from the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna), Mrs. Adefolalu Funmilola. The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the academic community, saw the associate professor from the department of biochemistry fall victim to unidentified assailants in her own home in the Gbaiko area of Minna.

The horrifying incident unfolded on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 10 am. Friends and colleagues of the deceased, who had grown concerned after failing to reach her by phone, paid an impromptu visit to her residence. To their horror, they discovered Mrs. Adefolalu lying lifeless in her home, drenched in her own blood, with visible signs of injuries.

Two blood-stained knives, believed to have been the weapons used in the attack, were discovered at the scene of the crime. The lifeless body was subsequently transported to IBB Hospital in Minna, where medical professionals tragically confirmed her demise.
