Five children tragically suffocated to death after locking themselves inside an unused car for several hours in Minna, Niger State. The tragic event occurred on Sunday evening in the Alibishiri area along the Minna-Bida road.

According to police, the children were playing in a spacious compound adjacent to their homes when they decided to enter an abandoned Honda Civic vehicle. The identities of the victims have been confirmed as 10-year-old Zahra, 7-year-old Aisha, 5-year-old Fati, and 7-year-old Isah. The identity of the fifth victim is yet to be verified.
