Top Police Officer Slumps, Dies in Umuahia
A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) attached to Zone 9 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force tragically died on Thursday after collapsing at an eatery within the zone’s premises in Umuahia.
According to sources, the officer had just returned from an assignment with his team and went to get a meal when the incident occurred. Witnesses said he began to behave unusually while eating, before suddenly collapsing.
Efforts to save him proved unsuccessful. He was first rushed to the police clinic at the Central Police Station and later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where he was confirmed dead.
His body has been deposited at the FMC morgue.
