Tinubu’s Visit Confirms Anambra Is Safe — Police
The Anambra State Police Command has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s successful visit to the state is a clear confirmation that Anambra is safe and secure for residents and visitors alike.
In a statement issued in Awka on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, the command praised the peaceful conduct of the visit. The commissioner highlighted that President Tinubu’s hitch-free engagements demonstrated the effectiveness of ongoing security measures in the state.
During the visit, President Tinubu officially inaugurated several key projects including the Anambra State Government House, Solution Fun City, and the Governor’s and Presidential Lodges. He also commissioned the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy Centre at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
CP Orutugu commended the people of Anambra for their cooperation with security agencies before, during, and after the President’s visit. He noted that such collaboration underscores the importance of coordinated security efforts and proactive planning in ensuring public safety.
He also applauded the efforts of police officers and other security agencies, citing their dedication and improved coordination as vital to maintaining peace and safety across the state.
