“Tinubu Made Cancer Treatment Possible in Nigeria” – Minister
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, says President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has transformed Nigeria’s health sector, making advanced cancer treatment available within the country.
Idris made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah on Thursday, noting that his team was in Enugu to document and report on positive developments under the Tinubu administration and the state government.
According to the minister, Tinubu’s policies have enabled the establishment of six modern cancer treatment centres, one in each geopolitical zone, including Enugu. He said the facilities are equipped with machines comparable to those used internationally and staffed by trained specialists.
“Anyone who chooses to travel abroad for cancer treatment is doing so by choice, not because Nigeria lacks the facilities or expertise,” Idris said. “We must give credit to President Tinubu for putting capable people in place to revamp the health sector.”
He also commended Governor Mbah’s developmental strides, describing Enugu as the “heart of the South-East” and praising the state’s progress since his assumption of office.
Idris further highlighted improvements in national security, attributing them to stronger collaboration among security agencies under Tinubu’s leadership. While acknowledging ongoing challenges, he assured that the President remains committed to delivering more results for Nigerians.
