Tinubu-Branded Red Cap Surfaces in Kano Govt House Amid Defection Speculation
Red caps bearing the infinity symbol associated with President Bola Tinubu have appeared within the Kano State Government House, amid growing reports that Governor Abba Yusuf is considering a move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The symbol, long identified with President Tinubu’s political branding, was seen on caps worn by some aides and associates of the governor in recent days.
On Sunday, one of the aides was observed wearing the cap during a public event at the Government House attended by Governor Yusuf and senior government officials. Earlier in the week, photographs showing another aide with the same cap circulated widely on social media.
The sightings have intensified speculation about a possible defection by the governor to the ruling party.
Sources within the Kano State Government, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said discussions around the defection were ongoing and described recent developments at the Government House as indicating a gradual political realignment.
The sources added that, despite criticism and mixed reactions from within and outside the state, the plan to switch parties remains under consideration.
