“They Said We Will Run with Rice in Our Hands” — Rev. Dachomo Warns of Planned Christmas Attacks on Christians in Plateau State
Rev Ezekiel Dachomo has raised serious concerns over threats to Christian communities in Plateau State, revealing that extremist groups are collecting N100,000 from women and N200,000 from men to fund weapons for attacks ahead of the Christmas season.
Speaking at the Glory Dome in Abuja, Dachomo said intelligence reports indicate that these funds are intended to support a planned “jihad” targeting Christian settlements. “They said we will run with rice in our hands because they are ready for Jihad,” he warned, stressing the urgency of the threat.
The cleric called on Christians to rely on prayer as the strongest defense against the looming attacks. “Your prayer is more than AK-47. It’s more than rocket launchers. Let’s launch our prayers to heaven,” he urged, emphasizing faith as a shield for the communities at risk.
He further appealed to Christians to unite in prayer for safety, describing the situation as a serious threat to lives and livelihoods. “Christians must be safe. There is a genocide in Nigeria. Pray for us in Jesus’ name,” Dachomo said, highlighting the growing dangers facing the region.
