“They have no credibility whatsoever” — Momodu blasts Omokri, Fani-Kayode over Tinubu remarks
Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Dele Momodu, has responded to recent remarks by Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode, describing both men as lacking credibility.
In a post shared on his X account on Wednesday, Momodu addressed separate criticisms directed at him over his comments concerning the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
He said he had initially considered ignoring the exchanges but chose to respond to avoid what he described as attempts to silence him through pressure.
Momodu rejected claims that he had made unfounded accusations against the president, stating that he has never referred to Tinubu in defamatory terms. He added that he avoids making statements he cannot substantiate.
According to him, his criticism of the administration is limited to concerns about governance style, which he characterised as authoritarian. He maintained that his position remains unchanged.
He also referenced past public statements made by Omokri and Fani-Kayode about Tinubu, suggesting that their earlier positions contradict their current stance.
Momodu further claimed that both individuals had, at different times, reached out to him privately despite their public criticisms, describing the situation as inconsistent with their current public conduct.
