The Devil Gave Me Music Success — Terry G Declares in Viral Video
Nigerian singer Terry G has stirred social media after declaring in a viral video that it was the devil who gave him success in his music career.
The controversial artist made the statement while addressing recent rumours circulating online that he had died. In a now-deleted video shared on his Instagram page, Terry G dismissed the reports, assuring fans that he is alive and well.
Speaking partly in pidgin, he said, “My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check on me because they saw something online saying R.I.P Terry G. I beg, whoever is spreading that news should stop. I’m doing very fine.”
Terry G also used the opportunity to clarify comments he previously made on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he said, “I sing for the devil. I’m falling short of the glory of God.” The statement had sparked widespread debate among fans and critics.
In the video, the singer reiterated, “Una no know before? Na the devil I dey serve. Na devil make me blow,” implying that his fame came through dark influence.
