Terrorists Kill 30 in Kebbi State Attacks
Terrorists launched deadly attacks on Tadurga and Kyebu communities in the Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria, killing 30 people and leaving many others injured. The assaults, which occurred within the last 24 hours, have plunged the affected areas into mourning.
In response, Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Umar Abubakar Tafida, led a government delegation to the communities for condolence visits. During the visit, the state government donated N50 million to support bereaved families and the injured—N25 million to each of the affected communities.
Officials have pledged to intensify security and block the entry routes into Tadurga and Kyebu, which the attackers used to gain access. The Chairman of Zuru Local Government Area, Muhammad Isah, confirmed that 16 people were killed in Tadurga, while Hussaini Bena, Chairman of Danko Wasagu LGA, reported 14 fatalities in Kyebu and Yar-kuka in Waje District. The attackers also looted livestock and other property.
Community leaders, including the Chief of Dabai, Suleman Sami Dabai, praised the state government for its swift response and ongoing support. Village heads Abdullahi Usman of Tadurga and Usman Muhammad Dunga of Kyebu called for urgent reinforcement of security measures to prevent future incursions.
