The gathering, convened by the PDP Governors’ Forum under the leadership of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, was aimed at addressing the ongoing internal crisis within the party, finalizing plans for the upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for May 27, and discussing early preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Wike was joined by two of his former G-5 colleagues — Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The meeting, which took place at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in the nation’s capital, also witnessed the presence of other sitting PDP governors including Peter Mbah (Enugu), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa).

In an official communication during the meeting, the PDP’s Director of Publicity, Pastor Chinwe Nnorom, issued a notice regarding the inauguration of new members of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

Also present were key national officers of the party, such as Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum, National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), and National Organising Secretary Umar Bature.
