Teacher in Coma After Alleged Beating by Students in Kogi
A shocking incident has unfolded at Ebira Muslim Community College Okengwe (EMCCO) in Okene, Kogi State, where a group of SS2 students allegedly attacked their Physics teacher, Mr. Muktar Salihu, leaving him in a coma.
According to reports, the students, led by one identified as Abdulbatin—who is said to be the son of a traditional ruler—allegedly humiliated and beat the teacher until he collapsed. Mr. Salihu is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Authorities have intervened, with the District Police Officer in the area ordering the traditional ruler to produce his son for questioning.
