Teacher Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances at Lagos School
A 48-year-old teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Akano, was found dead on Saturday evening inside a classroom at King’s College, Lagos Island. The discovery was made by staff members who raised the alarm after finding his lifeless body within the school premises on Catholic Mission Street.
The incident was promptly reported to the Lagos State Police Command at approximately 7:40 p.m. by the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele. Police detectives visited the scene, secured the area, and conducted a preliminary examination. Photographs were taken and, according to initial findings, there were no visible injuries or signs of foul play on Mr. Akano’s body.
The teacher, who hailed from Oyo State, was transported to Lagos Island Hospital, Odan, where he was declared dead on arrival by a medical doctor. His remains have since been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation and an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities say a full investigation is ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
