Taiwo Obasanjo Fires Back: Calls Ex-President ‘Greatest Impostor’ and ‘Arrogant Deceiver’

In a scathing response to former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent denouncement of her as an impostor, Taiwo Obasanjo, his estranged wife, didn’t mince words. On Friday, she boldly declared, “Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is the greatest impostor of all time, a liar, and a deceiver who now equates himself to the Almighty God.”

This explosive exchange of accusations came after Taiwo Obasanjo appealed to traditional rulers to forgive her estranged husband for causing embarrassment at a public event in Oyo State. In response, Chief Obasanjo publicly disowned her, claiming that she was never his wife and branding her an impostor.

Taiwo Obasanjo, however, was not one to stay silent. In a statement released on Friday, she vehemently defended her identity and lashed out at the former president. She declared that Chief Obasanjo was not only an impostor but also a manipulator who saw himself as an all-powerful figure, capable of deciding life and death.

Taiwo Obasanjo accused the former president of being vindictive, stating, “Once Obasanjo sees you as his perceived enemy who will not dance to his tune 100%, he would go all out to destroy you. He would do all within his highly toxic evil network to destroy whoever offers a word of respectful caution to him.”

She also pointed out that since leaving Dodan Barracks, Chief Obasanjo had consistently criticized and fought with every president who succeeded him, unlike other former presidents who maintained their dignity and composure.

In response to Chief Obasanjo’s reference to her mental health, Taiwo Obasanjo fired back, stating, “Well, it must be noted that any leader like you who justifies indecency, humiliation of leaders, talks and acts like a tout or an area boy with uncouth mannerisms, shows us his mental state that he is mentally deranged and there are more than enough evidences from your behavior and public utterances.”

The ongoing public feud between the estranged couple has captured the attention of the nation, shedding light on their turbulent relationship and the harsh accusations being traded.
