Suspicious Package Found Near White House a Day After Trump Imposes Tariffs
A suspicious package was discovered near the White House, prompting a swift response from law enforcement officials. The package, found in a dumpster approximately 500 meters from the White House, has led authorities to secure the area, with specialized units now on the scene to assess the situation.
As a precaution, officials have closed off the section between 15th and 17th streets and are advising the public to stay clear of the vicinity. The bomb squad is actively investigating the package.
This incident comes just one day after President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on several countries, including U.S. allies. At the time of the discovery, the President was in residence at the White House. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
