Suspected Bag Snatcher Beaten to Coma by Mob
A suspected bag snatcher was beaten into a coma by an angry mob on Oruntan Street, behind the Mother and Child Hospital in the Oke Aro area of Akure, Ondo State. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, when the unidentified suspect allegedly attempted to steal a bag from a resident.
Eyewitnesses said the victim shouted for help, drawing the attention of residents nearby. In response, members of the community quickly gathered and attacked the suspect, beating him until he lost consciousness.
As of the time this report was filed, the suspect remained on the ground but was still breathing. Residents have reportedly contacted security operatives regarding the incident.
