Suspected Armed Robbers Stab Young Woman to Death in Lagos
A young woman identified as Faith was reportedly killed in the early hours of Friday, June 27, 2025, by suspected armed robbers in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
Faith, who hailed from Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, was found lifeless along Mobile Road, Ajah. Sources indicate that she had visited her boyfriend on Wednesday night and was returning home when she was attacked.
Contrary to viral speculation suggesting ritual motives involving her boyfriend, Facebook user Ogor Odeh Joseph, who is also from the Igede community, refuted those claims. He clarified that Faith was not killed for ritual purposes and that there were no mutilations on her body.
According to Joseph, eyewitness accounts suggest that the assailants attempted to snatch Faith’s bag and phone. She reportedly resisted, leading to a violent altercation during which one of the attackers stabbed her in the neck with a knife. She died from the wound after reportedly bleeding without assistance.
Joseph, who is among those currently at the mortuary with other members of the Igede community, confirmed that the only injury found on Faith’s body was the fatal stab wound. Plans are underway to transport her remains back to her hometown for burial.
