Super Eagles List for World Cup Qualifiers: Musa Returns, Fresh Talent Joins
Ahmed Musa has returned to the Super Eagles as Nigeria prepares for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. The veteran forward, who holds the record as Nigeria’s top scorer at the World Cup, has been recalled after missing the team’s AFCON 2024 campaign, where they finished as runners-up.
Alongside Musa, several new faces have been included in the squad for the upcoming fixtures. Head coach Eric Chelle, who has been closely monitoring the domestic league since his appointment last year, has called up players from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The squad features Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Rangers defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Niger Tornadoes midfielder Papa Daniel Mustapha, and Musa, who now plays for Kano Pillars.

The Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe later this month as they look to strengthen their position in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
