Suicide Bomber Kills 10 in Borno Fish Market Attack
A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at a crowded fish market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday night, killing at least 10 people. The attacker, who had disguised himself as a civilian, struck during peak trading hours, causing chaos and destruction.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident in a post on X, stating that the blast claimed the lives of 10 civilians and left seven others injured. The bomber also died in the explosion.
Troops of the Nigerian Army and emergency response teams were swiftly deployed to the scene, and the injured victims were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Authorities have since cordoned off the area to prevent any potential follow-up attacks, as investigations continue.
