Speeding Car Kills Three Siblings, Leaves Father Critically Injured in Delta
A tragic accident on Monday night claimed the lives of three siblings and left their father critically injured after a speeding Mercedes Benz GLK350 lost control and crashed into a roadside shop along the Old Benin/Abraka road in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, suspected to have been driven by a ‘yahoo boy’, was moving at a dangerously high speed before veering off the road and ramming into the shop, instantly killing the children. Their father, who was at the scene, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Abraka.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene immediately after the crash, and as of the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has not responded to calls seeking official confirmation.
