SOS: @NGPolice in Delta Omitted from Promotions list despite IGP’s intervention
22 policemen in Delta state have been omitted from the a recently compiled promotions list in rather worrying circumstances. This is even after the IGP noticed the discrepancies and asked for eveey division to send missing names last October.
The policemen are supposed to have been promoted from the rank of Sergeant to Inspector. 17 of thes policemen are attached to the Orerokpe police station.
The Delta State command sent the amended list on the 27th of November and up till now there has been no word on the promotions of these officers while others have been promoted.
This is not the first time this situation has occurred. 2 years ago the same happened and these officers missed the promotion.
Sources say the policemen involved are of good standing and well admired in the area for the fairness and kindness to all.
This is an appeal to the police service commission to immediately look into this and prevent any unfair treatment towards this 22 officers.
