Soludo Meets City Boy Movement South East Team in Awka
The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday received members of the South East Team of the City Boy Movement at the Light House, Government House, Awka.
The delegation, led by South East Coordinator Chief Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu, was at the Government House to formally introduce the movement to Governor Soludo and outline its objectives. According to a statement from Uche Nworah, South East Director of Media and Publicity for the movement, the City Boy Movement is committed to supporting development initiatives in Anambra State and mobilizing grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Chief Iyiegbu highlighted the group’s readiness to work with relevant stakeholders to promote progress in the state and contribute constructively to the region’s political landscape.
Governor Soludo welcomed the delegation, expressing appreciation for their visit. In a symbolic gesture, he donned the City Boy Movement cap, commending the group’s commitment and engagement. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity in driving development and achieving success in the 2027 elections.
Other members of the delegation included HE Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, PhD; Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu; Abig Nwankwo; Mr. Lucky; Sir Nonso Ozoemena; and zonal executives of the movement.
