Sit-at-home: Anambra CP Visits Onitsha, Seeks Synergy with Residents
In a bid to enhance security and foster collaboration, Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, paid a working visit to Onitsha on Monday during the sit-at-home order observed in the Southeast.
During the visit, Adeoye emphasized the importance of residents being law-abiding to maintain a peaceful environment conducive to business activities. He conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation in the commercial city, particularly engaging with shuttle drivers operating along the Upper Iweka area.
A key message from the commissioner was a call for residents to support law enforcement by providing credible information to combat crime. Adeoye urged citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any criminal activities to the nearest police station. Additionally, he shared the Command’s Control Room Number, ‘07039194332,’ encouraging the public to contribute intelligent information.
“We need synergy with the public to effectively perform our duties; we should work as allies,” stressed Adeoye, highlighting the importance of a collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community for enhanced security measures.
