Senate to Begin Screening of Ministerial Nominees Today
The Senate will today commence the screening of the 42 Ministerial Nominees forwarded to it by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan disclosed this yesterday when he read the correspondence from Buhari on the floor of the Senate during the plenary. Lawan said the upper legislative chamber will postpone its planned annual recess to screen the nominees.
Buhari had forwarded the list of his Ministerial Nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation. The list came nearly two months after his inauguration for second term in office and five months after he won the February presidential election.
