Sectional Appointments Continue…Buhari Appoints Faruk Yahaya As Chief Of Army Staff
Leader of Nigeria’s junta, Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Faruk Yahaya as the new chief of army staff.
Yahaya, a major general, will replace the deceased Ibrahim Attahiru.
Major General Faruk Yahaya of Regular Course 37 is from Zamfara State. He is the current Theatre Commander Operation in the North-east and former General Officer Commanding Officer of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army.
Prior to this he was general officer commanding 1 Division of the Nigerian army.
