Rufai Oseni Tells Israel’s Ambassador ‘Don’t Interrupt Me’ During Live TV Interview
A tense moment unfolded on live television after Nigerian broadcaster Rufai Oseni asked the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, not to interrupt him during a discussion on the Middle East crisis.
The exchange occurred during a live broadcast in which the two were discussing developments linked to the ongoing tensions involving Israel and Iran.
In a video clip that has circulated widely on social media, Oseni was outlining what he described as Israel’s historical and current actions in the region. While making his point, he said he did not expect the ambassador to acknowledge that Israel possesses nuclear weapons.
“I don’t expect you to come here to accept that Israel has nuclear weapons, and we’re giving you the facts. But it’s for you to deflect,” Oseni said during the broadcast.
He also challenged remarks that he said portrayed Israel as blameless in the situation, referencing historical events including the bombing of the King David Hotel bombing.
As the ambassador attempted to respond, Oseni stopped him mid-interjection.
“Do not interrupt me, ambassador. Let me finish,” the broadcaster said firmly.
The moment has since generated debate online. Some viewers criticised Oseni’s tone, describing it as disrespectful toward a diplomatic representative. Others argued that the broadcaster was simply maintaining control of the conversation and ensuring he completed his point before the ambassador responded.
The clip continues to circulate across social media platforms, drawing mixed reactions from viewers and commentators.
