Rihanna’s Los Angeles home struck by gunfire while singer reportedly inside
The Los Angeles home of pop star Rihanna was struck by gunfire Sunday afternoon after a woman allegedly fired multiple shots toward the property from a vehicle parked across the street, according to US media reports.
Police said the shooting occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. local time in the Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. The suspect reportedly discharged about 10 rounds toward the residence, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing law-enforcement sources.
At least one bullet penetrated a wall of the house, local television station KTLA reported. Rihanna was inside the home at the time, according to the outlet.
The singer lives at the property with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children.
Authorities said the suspected shooter, described as a woman in her 30s, fled the scene after the gunfire. She was arrested a short time later without incident, and officers recovered a firearm during the arrest, KTLA reported.
Investigators have not yet determined what prompted the attack. Rihanna has not publicly commented on the incident.
