Adetutu O.J Alabi, is a Nigerian model and an advocate for beauty tribal marks.
She has been creating awareness on social media to change the general perception of people towards persons with tribal marks.
She recently started a campaign called #tribalmarkchallenge to encourage Africans with tribal marks and also as an advocacy for banning facial scarring.
Adetutu recently caught the attention of world renowned music artist Rihanna, when she asked to model for her Fenty brand. Rihanna had consequently followed her on Instagram.
Adetutu had recently shared her experiences, saying “I started modelling last year after I came out of my shell or hiding because of my tribal marks”.
“I was bullied while I was in primary and secondary schools, I had to learn a skill instead of going to the university”.
She further said, “I got pregnant along the line, the father of my baby abandoned me because of my tribal marks, hence my recent campaigns”.
Adetutu has however taken her modelling career up a notch as she recently released nude pictures of herself.
In the photos, she was completely naked, with only waist beads on and her entire body was painted.
She called the works of art “Yemoja with the stripes”.
