“Regina Had 20 Suitors, Including Pastors and Oil Barons” – Ned Nwoko
Ned Nwoko, husband of renowned actress Regina Daniels and senator representing Delta North, recently reflected on his wife’s past relationships and their journey to marriage. Speaking in a video shared by Daniels, Nwoko confirmed her earlier revelation of having over 20 suitors before their union in 2019.
The senator highlighted the prominence of her admirers, including pastors, oil barons, and film producers, who sought her affection with gifts and attention. Despite this, Nwoko praised Daniels for maintaining her values, noting that she was a virgin when they married. “She told me about the suitors and how they pampered her, sending her things, but she had nothing with any of them. By the time we got married, she was a virgin. I thank her mother for the training because she would have turned wayward,” he remarked.
Recalling his unconventional proposal, Nwoko shared that he bypassed traditional customs and directly approached Daniels’ mother. “I went to her mother and told her why I was there. As a traditional man, I knew I was supposed to go to the father and uncle’s house, but I told myself I don’t have time for the formality,” he said. His casual attire—a jeans and shirt—further deviated from tradition.
The proposal stirred some tension within Daniels’ family, reportedly leading to a clash that saw her temporarily leave the house. Nevertheless, the couple went on to formalize their union.
In her social media post accompanying the video, Daniels expressed joy at Nwoko’s words, writing, “Hubby just sent me this really cute video his friend made, and I couldn’t help but share. Honestly, I always love hearing hubby speak about me with so much love, especially in my absence.”
The couple, who married in 2019, are proud parents to two sons.
