Presidential Candidate, Parties Seek Buhari’s Disqualification From Polls

The presidential candidate for the National Interest Party (NIP), Eunice Atuejide, the NIP and the Action Peoples Party (APP) have filed a lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja to disqualify President Muhammadu Buhari from the 2019 Presidential election.
The plaintiffs in the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/112/2019, hinged their action on the state of health of Buhari and citing Sections 137(C) and 251(1) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria asked the court to bar the president from participating in next month’s presidential election.
