President Tinubu Reacts to Attack on Trump
President Bola Tinubu has unequivocally condemned the recent attack on former United States President Donald Trump, labeling it as “distasteful” and a violation of democratic principles.
In a statement released on his verified X handle, @officialABAT, President Tinubu expressed his sympathies to Trump, wishing him relief and a swift recovery.
Tinubu also extended his condolences to the families of those deceased and injured in the incident, offering prayers for their quick recovery.
“Violence has no place in democracy,” Tinubu asserted, reiterating Nigeria’s support for the United States during this difficult time.
“The attack on former President Donald Trump is distasteful and goes beyond the pale of democratic norms. Violence has no place in democracy,” Tinubu stated. “I extend my sympathies to the former President and wish him relief. I also condole with the families of the deceased and those wounded and wish them a quick recovery. Nigeria stands in solidarity with the United States of America at this time.”
