President Tinubu Orders Major Federal Administrative Shake-Up

 

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a major reshuffling of federal permanent secretaries across key ministries in the country. The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday by the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack.

 

The redeployment affects several ministries, with the reassigned officials expected to assume new roles by December 31, 2024. The changes include Mr. Gabriel Aduda moving from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence and Mr. Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel transferring from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to the Ministry of Education for understudy purposes.

 

Other notable changes are Mr. Temitope Peter Fashedemi shifting from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the State House, and Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore moving from the Ministry of Regional Development to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

 

In further adjustments, Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Olowolabi transitions from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, while Engr. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso departs the State House for the Ministry of Works. Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana has been reassigned from the Ministry of Defence to the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

 

Additionally, Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata moves from the Ministry of Works to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Mr. Raymond Omenka Omachi transfers from the Common Services Office (OHCSF) to the Ministry of Finance (Special Duties), and Mrs. Tinuke Watti shifts from the Ministry of Sports Development to the Ministry of Regional Development. Finally, Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro has been reassigned from the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs to the Ministry of Women Affairs.

 

The Head of Service has directed all affected officials to complete their handover and takeover processes by the end of the year.
