“President Tinubu Must Be Re-Elected by the Power of God in 2027” – Umahi

Minister of Works Dave Umahi has declared that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in the 2027 general elections through what he described as the “power of God.” Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Phase 1 at Eko Hotel in Lagos, Umahi emphasized Tinubu’s achievements since assuming office in 2023 and expressed confidence that the president would serve a second term.

Umahi commended Tinubu’s bold leadership, particularly in executing projects that had been long delayed. He asserted that only a leader with Tinubu’s vision and determination could complete such initiatives, urging Nigerians to support his re-election. Addressing the gathering, Umahi declared, “A man that has the courage to do what was dreamt 45 years back is the only man that will have the courage to finish it. We must vote for him in 2027. The President must be re-elected by the power of God.”

He particularly highlighted the impact of Tinubu’s administration on the South-East, stating that the president has demonstrated significant commitment to the region’s development. Umahi assured that the South-East would overwhelmingly support Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing ongoing federal projects in the region as evidence of the administration’s goodwill.

The minister, a former governor of Ebonyi State, expressed optimism that the South-East would deliver a landslide victory for Tinubu, predicting that the region would contribute 99 per cent of its votes to his re-election. He dismissed any notion of opposition within the region, asserting that the president’s developmental strides had won over the people.

Umahi further emphasized that Tinubu’s administration remains committed to infrastructure projects nationwide, including key road networks in the South-East such as the Enugu-Abakaliki highway and the Afikpo-Abia-Okigwe road. He reassured stakeholders that all ongoing projects would be completed as planned and dismissed any claims of sabotage against the president’s initiatives.
