President Tinubu Announces Another Key Appointment in Ongoing Reshuffle

Again, President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Ahmed Galadima Aminu as the new Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). The appointment, disclosed by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s spokesperson in a statement released on Tuesday, sets Aminu at the helm of PTDF for an initial term of four years.

This strategic appointment comes as a result of the outgoing Executive Secretary/CEO, Bello Aliyu Gusau, submitting his retirement application. As part of the transitional process, Gusau is slated to commence a 90-day pre-retirement leave, effective September 26, 2023, during which Aminu will assume responsibility for the management of PTDF.

Ahmed Galadima Aminu brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served as the General Manager of the Education and Training Department at PTDF. In light of the upcoming transition, President Tinubu has directed Aminu to serve in an acting capacity until the commencement of his full four-year term, which is scheduled for December 26, 2023.

In concluding the announcement, the statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale expressed the President’s well wishes for the newly appointed PTDF Executive Secretary and CEO, acknowledging the importance of this appointment in furthering the Fund’s mission.
