Portable Rejects ₦100m Offer, Demands ₦1bn to Fight VeryDarkMan

Nigerian street-pop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has made headlines after rejecting a ₦100 million offer to physically confront controversial social media personality Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM). In a now-viral video, Portable insisted that he would only consider such a challenge for a staggering ₦1 billion payout.

The feud between Portable and VDM has escalated in recent weeks, with both parties engaging in a heated exchange of words and diss tracks online. The dispute gained traction after VDM criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, prompting Portable to publicly slam the commentator, further fueling the rivalry.

In his video statement, Portable dismissed the ₦100 million proposal as insufficient, claiming that he regularly earns that amount through his loyal fanbase. “That ₦100m, my fans give it to me. ₦100m is small for me to fight VDM. Let them give me one billion, I will fight him and beat him,” he said confidently.

Portable also questioned the feasibility of the proposed fight, pointing out VDM’s elusive nature. “If anybody can drop ₦1bn, I will fight him. Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him. You are scared of him, you can’t jail him,” he added.
