Policeman Guarding Rivers Monarch Kidnapped

A police orderly attached to HRH Cornwell Ihunwo, the paramount ruler of the Rumu-Elechi community, has been kidnapped in a shocking incident that has sent waves through the area.

Godstime Ihunwo, an executive member of the Diobu Vigilante and Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Orowurokwo, reported receiving a distress call about the abduction at 9 pm on Saturday. According to Ihunwo, the kidnappers initially planned to abduct the traditional ruler but ended up taking the police orderly and the driver instead.

Upon hearing the news, Ihunwo immediately rushed to the monarch’s residence on Eagle Island in Port Harcourt. There, HRH Cornwell Ihunwo confirmed that his driver and police orderly had been kidnapped.

“We condemn the planned abduction of HRH Cornwell Ihunwo and call on the police to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident,” Ihunwo stated.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been transferred to the Octopus Strike Force Police unit for further investigation.
