Police Rescue 10 Abducted Persons In Benue State
After 10 dreadful days in captivity, a medical doctor, Etito Obadiah and nine other abducted persons were successfully rescued by police in Benue State, North-Central Nigeria.
State Commissioner of Police, Okoro Julius, said eight suspects believed to be connected to the abduction incidents have been arrested. He equally confirmed an attack on Uvir community in Guma Local Government Area of the State.
Iye community in Uvir council ward in Guma Local Government Area of the State is the latest to be attacked by suspected armed herders which in their usual style murdered quite a number with several injured and others yet to be accounted for.
CP Julius Okoro was speaking at his maiden media briefing since assumption of duty in Benue State where he also seized the opportunity to highlight the successes recorded by his Command.
Okoro solicited the same level of cooperation journalists accorded his predecessors so that there can be peace in the State.
